Reducing Your Burnout Risk as an Entrepreneur with ADHD

Welcome to the fifth episode in the Entrepreneurs with ADHD series on the podcast. This week, I’m joined by my good friend, Dave Greenwood, who is a professional writer, author of two bestselling books for adults with ADHD, podcaster,  and corporate consultant on burnout in the workplace.

Dave and I have very different backgrounds, but have discovered over the years that we share many of the same opinions on being an adult with ADHD who is self employed, tends to put others needs ahead of our own and has experienced burnout more than once.

In this conversation, Dave and I candidly share from our own experiences as well as what we have learned from coaching others who are entrepreneurial and have ADHD. We have both come to the conclusion that the best way to reduce stress and avoid burnout is to utilize strategies based on clarity and control.

Here are some of the highlights:

- Understanding the critical differences between stress and burnout.

- Strategies to avoid overcommitment and prioritize what truly matters.

- Essential self-care practices every entrepreneur with ADHD can practice.

- How systemic changes can reclaim your sense of clarity and control.

- Practical advice on balancing personal and business responsibilities

Mic drop moment:

“If you live in response mode day after day, week after week, year after year, you will not only burn out, you will also run your business into the ground.”  Dave Greenwood
